OUR JOURNEY

Reinvented Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that develops print and digital resources, leverages social media, and conducts in-person workshops to inspire, engage, and elevate girls and women in STEM.

OUR FOUNDER: CAELEY LOONEY

In 2018, recent college graduate, Caeley Looney realized the need for a magazine geared towards women in STEM. After receiving teen's fashion magazines throughout high school and college, she began to lose interest and read less and less of their pages. She was more interested in what was going on in the tech world than what was in style, but she still wanted to see that same female presence... And thus, the idea for Reinvented was born.

After graduating from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, she started working full-time as a Space Mission Analyst at L3Harris Technologies, where she supported their small satellite programs. In 2022, she completed her M.S. in Space Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. In 2023, Caeley moved to Austin, TX where she spent over a year at Firefly Aerospace as a Mission Operations Engineer and Mission Planner supporting their first commercial lunar lander mission.

Now, she's tackling her biggest (and favorite) challenge yet -- Reinvented, full time! Her work days used to end with coming home and going straight to work on building out and expanding Reinvented's programs, impact, and reach; but now she's taken a step back from the aerospace industry to focus more of her efforts into Reinvented. As the founder and CEO of Reinvented, Caeley works to empower young girls to pursue STEM fields through each of Reinvented's core programs.

Outside of Reinvented, Caeley loves making and is constantly working on something crazy. Some of her favorite projects to date include forging her own sword, designing a 3D printed light up constellation dress, and building and origami kayak. Caeley is also not only a huge advocate for women and girls in STEM, but also for those with disabilities in STEM, especially neurodivergence in the workplace since Caeley is autistic herself.

REQUEST CAELEY AS A SPEAKER:

Reinvented has a single mission in mind: to reinvent the general perception of women in STEM fields while inspiring interest in STEM for young women worldwide.

From sharing the stories and experiences of groundbreaking ladies in the field to reporting the latest news in science and technology, we hope to pave the way for future generations of women to become leading pioneers of STEM. The general notion of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as being predominantly masculine fields is something that has needed to change for a long time now, but there's really only one way to truly change something - and that's to reinvent it.

Why Print?

Reinvented Magazine wants to ensure that everyone has access to its content, including those in low-income or rural areas without easy access to a computer.  That's why for every one magazine bought, one magazine will be donated to a local library, school, or girls club!  If your organization is interested in partnering with us to help get these donated magazines to girls nationwide, visit our One-for-One program page!
